Meet the Principals

Meet Principal Megan Botulinski

Megan Botulinski

Megan Botulinski grew up in Leavenworth and graduated from Cascade High School and Gonzaga University, where she majored in Spanish and secondary education. Previously she taught at CKMS, TFMS, and MSHS and was the varsity girls basketball coach and assistant track coach, as well as activities coordinator at MSHS. Mrs. Botulinski attended the University of Washington for her Masters and Principal Certification (the Danforth Program, 2015 Grad) and served as the assistant principal at TFMS from 2014 through 2019 until SMS re-opened as the third middle school in our district in the fall of 2019.

Mrs. Botulinski's husband, Steve, is a history teacher at MSHS. He is also the varsity football coach and head girls golf coach. They have two young children, a boy and a girl. I love the outdoors — especially hiking, skiing, paddle boarding/kayaking, and swimming.  Mrs. Botulinski loves to travel and is a huge sports fan (Seahawks football and Gonzaga basketball in particular)!

Meet Assistant Principal Josh Young

Asst Princ

Mr. Young and his family are proud residents of Snoqualmie Valley and are heavily involved in our community activities. He served as the assistant principal at Timber Ridge Elementary for two years and began as assistant principal at SMS in the fall of 2022.

Before his time in the Snoqualmie Valley, Mr. Young was the assistant principal at Covington Elementary in the Kent School District. He also taught grades six and seven in the Kent and Highline School Districts for several years. He earned his education degree from Washington State University and his master’s degree from Western Governors University. He received his Educational Leadership and Administrative Certificate from City University.

In his spare time, Mr. Young loves to spend time with his family and, as a former rugby player, coaches youth football in the Jr. Wildcat program.
